Children’s Speech Therapy NI is experienced in providing personalised training, education and workshops tailored for  organisations, playgroups, nurseries, schools and other healthcare professionals wishing to develop their expertise and understanding of speech, language and communication difficulties.

This can be provided on a one-to-one or group basis, tailored specifically to your requirements including:-

• Normal stages of Speech and Language Development

• How to identify Speech, Language and Communication difficulties

• Strategies for Educators to support Speech and Language difficulties in the classroom

In addition, we also offer Elklan and Hanen training. Both programmes are aimed at helping others to promote and support the communication skills of all children especially those with speech and language needs. Elklan offers accredited courses for those working throughout pre-school, primary and secondary education.

Educational, Nursery & School Support

Working as an extension of the school team the Speech & Language Therapist can work alongside teachers and classroom assistants to support children with speech and language difficulties, this also includes:-

• Screening

• Language Enrichment Groups

• Phonological Awareness Programmes

• Language and Literacy Curriculum Development

• Individual Education Programme (IEP) meetings/planning
