Complimentary Consultation

This is a free initial telephone consultation available to all parents providing an opportunity for you to discuss any concerns about your child’s speech & language development and learn more about the services provided.

Initial Assessment

At the first appointment the Speech & Language Therapist will carry out a comprehensive assessment which will take approximately an hour depending on the individual needs and age of your child.

Assessments are conducted in a caring and sensitive manner with lots of positive reinforcement throughout, ensuring every child feels comfortable and at ease at all times.

The Therapist will devote the necessary time to discuss the findings of the assessment and the most effective course of action. There is no obligation for speech therapy following the assessment.

Follow Up Therapy Sessions

If speech therapy is recommended, an individualised treatment plan will be agreed to support the specific speech, language and communication needs of your child.

An indication of the number of speech therapy sessions that may be required can also be discussed, this will depend on each child’s individual needs. They may be weekly, fortnightly or monthly. Sometimes just one session will be enough to give you the reassurance you need to support your child’s speech and language development.
